Townsville business growth in focus

The Townsville Business Development Centre (TBDC) has signed an agreement to partner with accountancy and advisory firm PVW Partners, with a purpose to provide support to new and existing business operators and entrepreneurs across North Queensland.

TDBC CEO Ben Verning welcomed the news, saying it’s a fantastic outcome that will strengthen outcomes for start-ups and small businesses.

“Our passion is delivering services and support to help new and existing small businesses on their growth journey and this partnership strengthens the work of the TBDC,” Mr Verning said.

“Over the past 23 years, the TBDC has helped tens of thousand of locals through training and support. We’ve also assisted hundreds of start-ups and existing SME’s on their success journeys.

“By partnering with PVW Partners who celebrate 100 years of assisting the local business community in 2018, we can now offer our Members access to the highest possible quality advisory services and planning advice to help them succeed in their venture.”

PVW Partners will work with the TBDC to deliver workshops, along with offering a free advisory consultation to all TBDC Members.

Partner Carl Valentine said an important part of the firm’s ethos over the decades has been locals supporting locals.

“Our purpose is Regional Australians Growing Regional Australia, and this is just another way we can support those efforts,” Mr Valentine said.

“Having access to expert business advisory services is critical to the success of any new venture and PVW Partners is proud to be partnering with the TBDC to deliver that specialised support across our region.”
